Another busy time for Lightloads.je. Pictured is the Normandy Trader on the 9th April about to unload her cargo on the Victoria Quay. After huge interest from local property owners, another 90 tonnes of Paris cobbles have found their way into garden and driveway projects…..and we’re shipping another 25 tonnes today!
Although a real Trojan, Lightloads’ Nissan Cabstar would be overwhelmed by such volumes of stone, and we are delighted to work with Mark Le Quesne Haulage Ltd whose long-reach, heavy lift ‘hiab’ vehicles make light work of clearing the dockside and delivering to client addresses.
Included in our cargo this month were a further 250 oak sleepers and a stunning 5 metre x 300 x 300 oak beam (pictured) to be used as a lintel in a granite property currently undergoing restoration.
In the pipeline are more cobbles and almost 1000 running metres of half waney edged oak cladding boards, cut-to-size components for an oak ledge and braced door, a large quantity of oak flooring and further oak post and rail fencing.
Lightloads.je continues to enjoy a busy relationship with the timber mill in France so much so, that its owner will be in Jersey in May to discuss on site, client requirements in respect of ongoing and future projects involving oak and douglas fir timber and the supply of specialist joinery work to be fabricated in France and shipped via the Normandy Trader. Should your project require any cut to size timbers or you have a need for component parts for garden pergolas, sheds or any timber framed construction, we would be happy to quote for supply.
